Klaveness' vision was a business where employees combine their in‑depth shipping experience with data analytics skills, basing their decisions on facts and relevant analyses. The goals of the programme was to provide access to trustworthy data, lift employees competency, so that they could perform analyses single‑handedly and not least establish a culture leading to improved decision making.
Mindshift designed and implemented a data platform, based on modern cloud‑based ETL tools, cloud‑based databases and Azure Data Lake. The platform was established in four months only. It pulls data from a number of sources, transforms the data and make them available for the business through their analysis tools, primarily Power BI.

In order to develop the employees competencies, Mindshift developed and executed a comprehensive learning programme for all employees, including more than 40 on‑line courses distributed over 8 learning paths, tailored to different roles and past experience. The on‑line courses was supplemented by a series of class‑room training sessions, workshops and case assignments, all developed and facilitated by Mindshift.
Mindshift also assisted Klaveness with their organizational development, by establishing a mentoring scheme, identifying and describing new organizational roles to manage and use data, manage communication at kick‑off and a series of company events, as well as coaching the management team in leading the change.
Central to the programme was dealing with motivation, barriers against change and practical implementation. Mindshift monitored progress and designed and implemented a number of measures to move employees and the organization forward ‑ by gamification and visualizations.

Mindshift established a new data platform for Statped based on Microsoft Azure. Mindshift also developed a set of reports in Power BI for case management and follow‑up, statistics on usage of Statped’s services and tracking of KPI performance related to goals, as stated in the government allocation letter. The reports were designed in close co‑operation between our data engineers and behaviour scientists to ensure usability, user adoption and required actions by the users.
